My journey
My journey with design has been a dynamic exploration of creativity and learning. I developed a keen interest in design during school, choosing Design and Technology as both my GCSE and A-level subjects. This passion led me to pursue a degree in Industrial Design and Technology at Loughborough University. During my time there, I immersed myself in the intricacies of the design process and honed my skills in both individual and collaborative settings.
A pivotal point in my journey was my placement year, where I ventured into the realm of teaching. At Sevenoaks School, I had the privilege of sharing my design knowledge with younger generations, and this experience allowed me to refine my skills while nurturing my passion for design education.
In my final year of university, I explored the world of User Experience (UX) design through an optional module, achieving a high grade and discovering a newfound enthusiasm for this field. This led me to my first post-graduate job at Accessia, a dynamic startup specializing in physical and access security. As the sole designer, I worked closely with engineers to build a robust design system, tackling complex features and contributing significantly to the company's growth. This journey has been a continuous pursuit of design excellence, marked by both personal and professional growth.
